My name is Dan Fisher. I entered the mortgage industry in early 2011 to help borrowers through a smooth loan process. What I found while learning about this business myself was astonishing. First off, the majority of people applying for a mortgage loan, or even refinancing their current loan truly don’t understand how the loan process works, who does what, and most important, what their actual expenses for a loan are. Unfortunately, there are people in this business that, if truth be told, will take advantage of the consumer. Even as a Loan Officer, the training and education I received wasn’t enough for me to understand why this cost, that charge, or how it fits on the Final HUD-1 Form, etc.
